Size Guide

Measured by hand; allow 1–3 cm (0.4–1.2 in) tolerance. Size by her chest first — a sleeveless bodice has to fit the ribcage to stay put — then check her height against the length. Note that size 16 and Adult XS share the same skirt length, so if she is over 63" / 160 cm, choose Adult XS for the wider bust and expect the hem to sit a little higher. Between two sizes, take the larger.

• Does the skirt need a petticoat? No. The tiers are already ruffled and layered over a lining, which is where the volume comes from. A petticoat underneath fights the diagonal tiers and flattens the frilled edges that make the skirt read.
